DUTCH MASTERS: NYC
FEBRUARY 25, 2018
LITTLE FLOWER SCHOOL presents our annual ode to the Dutch Masters; this centerpiece and still-life workshop will take place on the achingly perfect prop floor of the The Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, New York.
In this workshop Nicolette will reference the evocative still-life paintings from the Dutch "Golden Age." Participants will be led through an in-depth demonstration of how to navigate and develop their own dramatic affect within a floral arrangement. Students will revel in a vibrant selection of Holland’s best bulbs; countless specialty stems will be sourced to create a decadent palette inspired by Old-World elegance. Each arrangement will be professionally shot by a photographer; countless fabrics and botanical curiosities will be on-hand to offer additional depth within each vignette. Everyone will receive a digital file of their captured still-life, suitable for display in both a styling and/or floral portfolio.
All materials including clippers, flowers, and a vase will be provided— each student will take home their masterpiece. Light snacks will be served throughout class.
This class is open to students of all levels. Full payment is required to reserve your spot. This class is non-refundable and will take place Sunday, February 25th at The Metropolitan Building from 12-4pm. We encourage students to bring a notebook to write down any valuable tips advised during Nicolette’s demo and Q &A. 12 student minimum is required for the class.
Please note: Little Flower School has a strict no refund, no credit, no transfer policy. If you would like to read more about this policy, click here.
