ODE TO RANUNCULUS:

hosted by ATELIER ROQUETTE

BROOKLYN | Saturday, February 28, 2015 | 1-4 | $500

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

We have a forever love-affair with the ranunculus: a curious stem that warps towards the light (the basis of any good inspirational quote, no?), the endless petals revealed in bloom and those freckles of rich streaked color within. It is an infuriatingly perfect flower, in a way that parallels the allure of Audrey Hepburn and by that same token: it is a classic. Sauntering to peak selection during the last stretch of winter-- the offering becomes feverish with a bounty of  Dutch, French, Japanese and locally grown specimens. Please join us as we jumpstart spring and celebrate the Ranunculus-- along with the menagerie of spectacular late winter flowers like forced quince branches, poppies, hellebores and more.

Class is held at our beloved Atelier Roquette in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. All materials including clippers, flowers and a vase will be provided. A light lunch along with snacks and refreshments will be served through-out the class to sustain  creativity!
