Wedding bouquet intensive: nyc
Saturday, February 21, 2015 | 10-4 | $1600
Join Sarah & Nicolette as they deconstruct the architecture behind their signature sprawling wedding bouquets. In this all-day intensive students will learn how to navigate lush, complex palettes to orchestrate a delicate symphony between stems-- capturing the romantic gestural quality of the garden.
This workshop will focus on refining bouquet-making skills as well as wedding detail work with tutorials on floral crowns, boutonnieres & posies-- suitable for both aspiring floral designers and established florists alike. Each student will create two distinct bouquets to be styled and photographed with intention to build each student's portfolio. Technical skill will be cultivated though in-depth discussion, demonstration and hands-on creation...This is a class for those who have had some flower experience - and especially for those who want to break the chains of the round, tight, dome-like bar-bell bouquet. Expect 'tough love' all day as we explore looser construction methods.
All materials including clippers, flowers, ribbon and photography will be provided. Lunch and refreshments will be served through-out the day to sustain our creativity. This workshop will be held at the SAIPUA STUDIO in Brooklyn, NY.
