April...arguably the best season in the cut flower world...

We've decided to add a last minute class to celebrate all our favorite early spring blooms...the season is just too good to go without teaching with hellebores, fritillaria, the best local ranunculus (and some japanese specimens that will blow your mind), blooming branches, muscari, narcissus to name the highlights.

This time of year our focus on these particular seasonal flowers tends to dictate a specific soft, washed out, tea stained color palette reminiscent of watercolor. We'll focus on color and guide students through the basic touchstones of color/texture palette creation. Then, using a footed compote we'll demonstrate the techniques of sculpting a loose, gestural composition in the Little Flower School style.

All materials and refreshments will be provided. Each student will create and take home their own masterpiece along with a set of clippers.
